CERTIFICATIONS

As a student of strength, body mechanics, movement, training techniques and nutrition, I have multiple certifications which allow me to assess each client's specific abilities and custom design a strength and mobility program that is safe, effective and fun!

I am certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which is world-renowned for the quality of its personal trainers and the scientific rigor of its program. NASM courses were developed using a proprietary Optimum Performance Training™ (OPT™) model based on science and evidence-based research.   

The RKC (Russian Kettlebell Certification) is a mentally & physically demanding course with a 30% failure rate. Coaches & Instructors are tested on kettlebell skills and techniques and are required to abide by a code of conduct - exhibiting a professional standard that includes putting client safety at the forefront of training and a promise to continue to improve skills as an instructor and athlete. I trained for more than a year prior to attending this certification, and consider this to be one of the biggest accomplishments of my career. I am currently RKC I certified and am in training for RKC II.

The FMS certification means that I am trained to assess how an individual, no matter their age, moves in everyday life. It accounts for both mobility and stability and identifies movement patterns a client does well, and also patterns that need some attention.  Armed with this knowledge, I'm able to cater to clients' individual needs with customized exercise selection while simultaneously limiting the factors that inhibit their progress or could cause injury. The result? Self-aware clients and athletes reaching greater heights in lifelong movement health and vitality.

Animal Flow is a ground-based movement program that combines elements from breakdancing, parkour, and hand balancing. The movements can be performed alone or combined into "flows" where you link different elements together into a continuous chain of energy and movement. Animal Flow is designed to improve your mobility, flexibility, strength, power, endurance, and muscular coordination. Every movement has a specific intent, the program can be regressed for any fitness level, and is based upon proven scientific principles.
