About Me
In January 2016, at my post-op appointment after back surgery, the doctor told me to never lift heavy objects, twist, or bend. I couldn’t imagine this to be correct. After all, I'm a wife and the mother of 3 grown kids and I'm eagerly looking forward to being a grandmother someday! I'll need to be able to bend, lift, twist, and pick up babies! So, I began researching a way to move better and more confidently without pain. I became a student of human movement, body mechanics & strength. It's been a long journey, but today, by applying what I've learned, I'm doing things the doctors said I'd never do again....and
I feel great!
Exercise isn’t always what you think! If you envision workouts to be draining & intimidating, think again!
This is the 21st century and my training is science-based and designed to promote a better functioning YOU... every day.
My Philosophy & Program
I believe that any good program starts with an analysis of each client's body movement. I'll evaluate how your back, shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles move and put together a custom strength and mobility exercise program. The goal is to avoid injury and intelligently increase strength, stability, balance, and movement.
Movement Screening
The first thing we'll do is assess how your body moves and design a program that safely and effectively improves motion and strength without causing injury.
Strength
We'll build full body strength using your own body & tools like kettlebells, resistance bands, slam balls, and other items to increase your strength in a way that translates to and improves the things you do in everyday life.
Mobility
I use a ground based movement program based upon the Animal Flow practices and will have you use your own body to build
strength and mobility.
